The NCMS Cyber Award shall be given based on extraordinary or unique contributions made in the area of Cyber Security. A nominee must be a member in good standing and meet a minimum of two of the following criteria in order to be considered for this award. Each criterion should reflect a separate and distinct contribution to the Society. The intent is not to identify a single act or contribution which meets all criteria, but for each criterion to be supported by a distinct or separate contribution.
- Individual contribution which has materially and beneficially affected the cyber security community (i.e., functional areas include education, training, and /or operational activities which improved or enhanced individual, organizational, or corporate performance);
- Individual or organizational contribution which improves cyber security policies, procedures, and/or practices of national interest (i.e., developed partnerships between industry and government or supported ISACs or industry teams);
- Substantial contribution to the work of a NCMS national or chapter level cyber committee for at least one year (verified via Chapter Chair and/or Committee Chair);
