NCMS Awards

NCMS has a long tradition of recognizing and celebrating individuals, organizations, chapters, and leaders for their extraordinary contributions to the Society and to the field of Industrial Security over the past 50+ years. Although some of the categories, criteria, and even the names may have changed over the years, the practice of honoring these people and their accomplishments has not.

Donald B Woodbridge Award Of Excellence

The significance of this award should be the reflection of the attainment and embodiment of the highest standards of our Society, demonstrated by the betterment of industrial security.

James N Hickok Industrial Security Professional Award

This award is given to an ISP® based on extraordinary or unique contributions made to the ISP® program.

Lenita Roberts Chapter Award

This award is presented annually to the Chapter that has self-identified as needing financial assistance to provide quality local training to its chapter members.

Lonnie R Buckels Presidential Award

This award shall be given based on extraordinary or unique contributions made to the Society or Industrial Security by an individual or organization.

NCMS Chapter Of Excellence Award

Award criteria fo the Chapter of Excellence (COE) are stringent and prescribed by the Chapter Chairs, in coordination with the Chapter Chair Liaison (CCL).

NCMS Industrial Security Award

This award shall be given to an individual or organization that has significantly contributed to Industrial Security.

NCMS Membership Awards

The NCMS Membership Awards recognize the individual recruiters of new NCMS members and the Chapters gaining the highest net increase in membership.

NCMS Mentoring Awards

The Individual Mentor Award is for the individual NCMS member who has the highest accumulated mentoring point total for the year. The Chapter Mentoring Award is presented to the NCMS Chapter that has the most newly “pinned” Mentors for the year.

NCMS Society Award

This award recognizes NCMS members who have provided extraordinary or unique contributions to the Society.

Steven Garfinkel Scholarship Program

The NCMS Board of Directors established the Steven Garfinkel Scholarship to assist security professionals with their continuing education in the security field. This scholarship is open to both members and non-members.
