NCMS Chapter Of Excellence Award

Award criteria fo the Chapter of Excellence (COE) are stringent and prescribed by the Chapter Chairs, in coordination with the Chapter Chair Liaison (CCL). After the submitted nominations are reviewed, the CCL forwards the results to the Awards Chair. The Chair then recommends the COE candidates to the NCMS Board for approval at the spring Board meeting.

There are five sections making up the requirements for Chapter of Excellence (COE):

• Administrative Requirements
• Communication Requirements
• Society Needs Requirements
• Education and Training Requirements
• Other Significant Chapter Activities of Merit

Once the deadline passes for COE submission, which is usually midnight Hawaii time on March 1st, no changes or submissions will be accepted. At that time the Chapter Chair Liaison team will review all entries and generate a list of all chapter input.

Once it is determined which nominees have met or come close to meeting the above requirements, the information is forwarded to the Awards chair who then presents their findings and recommendations to the Board of Directors. The awards are presented in June at the National Seminar.
